nakanomori

Summary
It has been announced that Nakanomori band disbands on June 30 2008. This happened about 2 weeks ago. According to their blogs from their
homepage, the reason was that, they decided to
make separate moves in different directions to
enjoy their own music.

Opinion
I was very shocked.

Evaluation

If you like horror stories, you will enjoy this one. But this story is not so scared compared to other Japanese horrors like “Juon”, “The Ring”, “Chakushin ari”. You might be shocked and die if you see those movies in a theater.

Evaluation

Hello. This was my first book report in my life. I enjoyed it. If you have not read it yet, then you should. I highly recommend. I hate reading, but this one was easy to read. If you don’t know how to read, you can watch the movie.

Anyway, as I said before, the author tells us how distorted a selfish person can become. Are you distorted or selfish? It’s not too late! You should change and be nice to people!

should tv become commercial free?

Should TV become “Commercial Free?”
Hiromasa Sakakibara

Today, televisions are very famous so that no one in this world doesn’t know about them. But some of new born babies might not know. Television is probably a lot more famous than recent pop stars like Avril, Ayu, Ai, and Takikuri because people need a television to watch them! Today, everyone take television for granted. Even my dog, Jesse does. He is a miniature schnauzer. Televisions enable them to learn lots of information. How do people get information from the televisions? Drama? Anime? Like Naruto and Doraemon? No! From commercials! Some people might have been irritated by the commercial, but what if the televisions became “commercial free?” At present, Television should not become “commercial free”.

If all television became “commercial free”, people would soon find out how stupid that idea is. First of all, what are commercials for? They are to give people new information about what are being made and what is happening. Without them, it’s hard for people to get information and they might get left behind from the generation.
The most important reason why televisions shouldn’t become “commercial free” is that the commercial time could be a rest time for people. That means during the commercial time they are able to do whatever they want and are still able to watch the rest of the program without missing a scene. Sometimes in a middle of a program, people feel the need to urinate, or are get thirsty or hungry! When a commercial comes on, they can do that!

Some people might be thinking how wonderful it is to not have a single commercial on televisions. They think that the commercials are waste of time. They only want to watch the programs that they want to watch and hate to be interrupted. According to the yahoo article, “About 86% of Japanese people feel unhappy to see commercial between good scenes of TV programs”.
Sometimes there are some commercials that tell only good points and don’t tell about bad points. As a result, they get angry at the commercial company about telling only good points. So they think commercial should not be “commercial free”.
Think about life without commercials. People can no longer survive. Commercials are important! Significant! And profound! People shouldn’t let anybody take commercials from this Earth. So commercial should not become “commercial free”.

book report

1)
Author: Harry Gilbert
Title: The Year of sharing
Publication: Oxford
Publisher: Oxford University
Date: Nov, 15
Pages: 132÷3

2)
If I were a character in the story, compared to Richard leaving his village without saying nothing, I would say good bye to all of my friends and family. I love my family and friends. I might cry.

If I were the author, instead of putting wolf in the story, I would put lion. Richard said, “You go up there”(P36) when wolves were coming to eat his family. I chose this part because in the beginning of the story Richard was mean and never tried to protect anybody. He learned to share.

1: Setting: In a small village 100 years from now.
2: Point of view: First person.
3: Conflict: Richard vs nature.
4: Climax: When wolf family found Richard and try to get him.
5: Symbol: Cold dark night symbolizes Richard’s future.
6: Irony: When Richard killed a wolf, the other wolf told his family and they followed Richard to kill him.
7: Theme: When you are 12 years old, it is a time that you learn how to share life with nature.
8: Plot: Richard is now 12 years old and it’s time for him to experience the age of sharing. He wanted to share life with strong animals like lion or tiger but ended up with deer. At first he hated being with deer but in the end he dies because he tried to protect deer from hungry wolves.

3) Instead of writing highly developed setting because the story dates up to 100 years from now, the location of the story is very low civilization and there are no cars or trains. I was amazed about that. Richard hated having friends and spending time with his family but I don’t want that to happen. There were no cars nor trains only bikes and many natures. Our environment is better. I would compare the character’s voice in my head with the voice in the film.
I think the author loves nature and animals. Instead of making new cars and cutting up trees, he would go on a hiking to enjoy nature. I agree with the author. It’s very important for people to learn how to share life with nature. I have learned the importance of life. Not only humans but animals too. After I read this book, I decided not kill ants rashly. I though Richard was going to be friend with bigger animals and kills many smaller animal but he ended up being eaten by wolves to protect a baby deer.
